We hope you all are having a great summer and are looking forward to the fall.  The Georgia crop is shaping up well, although it will be a smaller crop than last year.

After much thought, we have decided to sell our mail order catalog and fund raising business to our good friends at Whaley Pecan Co., Inc. of Troy, Alabama effective August 16, 2008.

We have known the people at Whaley’s for many, many years and they are well known for their excellent quality shelled pecans and outstanding service.  Whaley Pecan has been a large buyer and processor of Georgia pecans for over 60 years.  Their modern shelling plant ships to customers in every state.  Your pecans will be as good as or better than ever before!

Whaley’s friendly customer service is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Central Time) to assist you with your pecan order.  Their toll free number is 1-800-824-6827.  For this season, you may also select your order from the Georgia Gold internet site (georgiagold.net) or the Whaley Pecan Co., web site (whaleypecan.com).  The Georgia Gold toll free number will also direct you to Whaley customer service.  Pecan packs will be very close to what you have ordered before and your total satisfaction is guaranteed.

We believe this will be a smooth transition and we know you will be happy with your new pecan family as Whaley’s is also a family business that cares about and knows their customers.
